When you purchase a product from the store at Pathfinder Advantage, you'll be asked to set up an account. You can find all your products in the "Downloads" section under "My accounts" page (make sure that you are logged into your account first) and you can access this any time. You'll also receive an email with a link to your download to the email address you provided when your purchased your product.
Download your product using these steps: 1) Right-click the download link. 2) Select “Save Target As…” (for Internet Explorer) or “Save Link As..” (Mozilla Firefox). A download screen will appear asking you where you want to save the file to on your computer. 3) Select where you wish to save the file (typically the desktop or ‘My Documents’) and save to your computer. Important! Many of our products contain items that are large, therefore we compress them into zip files.
Here's how to open a zip file... Many computers will have a built-in unzip program. To use it: 1) Once your file is downloaded, right-click the file 2) Select “Open With” and choose “Compressed (zipped) folders”. A dialogue box will open with the folder inside. 3) Click the folder ONCE to select it 4) Then go to “File” –> “Extract All” and follow the rest of the steps in the dialogue box. Many of our products are large or have multiple components. Sometimes the folders do not download fully for various reasons. When this happens your files may not open properly. To save yourself some time and effort, delete the original unsuccessful download, download the zip folders again. Make sure they downloaded completely and unzip the folder again. Once unzipped, check the files. If the files still do not open correctly, please contact us by submitting a support ticket and giving as much information and detail as possible.
Due to the nature of our business and content turnover, it is important that customers download purchased files in a timely manner. We are not responsible for reminding customers to download items, so please make a note of when content is available and download accordingly. We are also not responsible for computer crashes, software defects, acts of nature, or any other scenarios or accidents that result in the loss of files. We recommend an online backup service such as Dropbox or Apple iCloud We regularly remove older products from the server and cannot guarantee availability at any given time. If, however, the customer requests retrieval of lost files that are available, an administrative fee will be incurred at a rate of £40 per hour with a minimum of one hour. Please note that, depending on the number and size of files, this can be upwards of 2-3 hours and the fee is payable before files are transferred. Should you need this service, please submit a support ticket with detailed instructions regarding filenames or packages that need to be recovered.
Some of our files are created using Microsoft Word. If you can't open the document, don't panic. There are a few things you can do to troubleshoot the problem and save yourself some time. Re-download the product from your account - A partially downloaded file is often the problem. Make sure your version of Word (OpenOffice or whatever you are using to open doc files) is up to date and can open both .doc and docx. If these tips don't fix things for you, please contact us giving as much detail as possible.
Did you download a zip file but the folder seems to be empty? This happens when a zip file doesn't download completely. Since some of our files have multiple components or are large, it may take a few extra minutes to fully download. To solve this - rename the partially downloaded file on your computer. Login to your account and download again.
If a product purchased is not to your satisfaction, you can request a refund (with some exceptions) within 30 days of receipt, by submitting a support ticket requesting a refund. In such event, we will provide a full refund of the purchase price or credit for other purchases from the site. Please note that if a product is not refundable it will be clearly stated on the order form.
